I remember in the past a website were you could send text everywhere for free it was something like www.mtnsms.com or something. But these days websites like that stoped working or if they do they don't do it for free.
If you have got a nokia phone maybe you could try the nokia pc suite software which is free from the nokia website. With this software you can connect the phone on the pc and type a text from the computer and you can send it from the computer as well. It's like operating the phone with a remode control. I don't know if you have talks on your phone but if you did probaply you wouldn't ask for a website like that.
Also msn, skype and voip buster support sms messages but not for free, I didn't try msn or skype but with voip buster is only 5 sends per message. Not American dollar sends but euros.
Hope it helps

Thank you for the information. That website is still up, but it looks like it is only for people in the UK, and I cannot receive a reply. Anything else? smile!

Also with yahoo mail you can send and recieve text message but they charge your mobbile phone for each message and they need to know that the phone belongs to you so you get a code on your mobile phone and you have to type it on their website i think.
But after everything is set up you can use just the computer to send and recieve texts.

Ok, thank you. I'll try that. I've done it over msn before, but it won't let me do it internationally. smile! Thank you for the help.

Ok, downloaded yahoo messenger. Sheesh, you can txt about half dozen countries, but UK isn't one of them. Oy!
